quick and easy lasagna

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 24 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz carton ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
  1. In large saucepan, combine ground beef, sausage, onion. Cook until meat is browned and crumbly; drain. Add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, garlic, salt and Italian seasoning. Remove from heat. 
  2. In medium size bowl, stir together ricotta, Parmesan and parsley. 
  3. Lightly spray pan with cooking spray. Spread a bit of sauce into the bottom of the pan. Top with layer of noodles, sauce, cheese mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking an additional 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
