Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 6 pieces
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 14 oz Italian style diced tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- pasta (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken bottom of slow cooker. Stir together marinara, tomatoes, garlic, and Italian seasoning; pour over chicken.
- Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours or chicken is tender.
- Sprinkle parmesan over chicken; cover and cook on high an additional 30 mins to melt cheese.
- In a medium skillet, melt butter; add bread crumbs and garlic salt. Cook 4 mins or until golden brown; stirring often.
- Before serving, sprinkle bread crumb mixture and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese over chicken. Serve with pasta.
